This policy explains how depa Digital Content collects, uses, and protects your personal data under Thailand's PDPA.

1. Data Controller

depa Digital Content (digitalcontent.depa.or.th) is operated by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), the data controller under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the personal data necessary to operate the platform:

  • Identity: full name, national ID (freelancers), juristic registration number (companies)
  • Contact: email, phone, address
  • Account: TechHunt member ID, user role
  • Work & business data: portfolio items, images, descriptions, and revenue figures you enter
  • Usage data: access logs, comments, and platform interactions

3. Purposes of Processing

We use your data to:

  • Authenticate you and manage your account
  • Display works, companies, and freelancers publicly (non-sensitive fields only)
  • Produce aggregate, anonymised industry statistics and reports
  • Maintain and secure the platform

Note: national ID and juristic registration numbers are treated as protected data and are never exposed publicly.

4. Legal Basis

We process your data on the bases of consent, contract (provision of the platform), and the performance of depa's public task of promoting the digital economy.

5. Disclosure

We never sell your personal data or disclose it for marketing. We share data only as necessary with infrastructure providers (database and storage) under confidentiality terms, or where required by law.

6. Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.

7. Your Rights

Under the PDPA you have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase or destroy your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee

8. Cookies

We use only cookies essential to the platform (authentication and language preference). You can manage cookies in your browser; essential cookies cannot be disabled as the platform would not function.

9. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including HTTPS, Row-Level Security, and restricted access to sensitive fields.
